In 1987, Anna Matscher decided to make a change in her life. A masseuse by profession, she decided to dedicate herself to her true desire: a love for cooking. Together with her husband Alois, then a bank employee, the couple took over the family farm in Tisens. After several cooking courses and internships with the most prestigious chefs, it took Anna just 10 years to gain a high level reputation in local culinary circles. Meanwhile, Alois started learning about the world of wine and fast become an expert sommelier. His daughter, Elisabeth, has since followed in his footsteps with true professionalism.
Anna confides: "The source of my ingredients is most important to me. I look for ingredients that meet my quality standards and this brought me into contact with local farmers and suppliers. Traceability and transparency are fundamental to my work”. The herbs Anna uses in her recipes are collected from the magnificent garden at her property in Tisens.

The Twen menu
We have a special menu for our YOUNG LION GOURMETS. Devised for guests from 15 to 21years old, this appetising menu teases the palate and stimulates the taste buds. It’s a perfect gift or a romantic dinner for two, for those celebrating a birthday, those in love and all foodies in general. Four courses are chosen from the menu. Cost? The age of the guests multiplied by 2.
